Overview of Heart Failure Medical Research Study
Our current Heart Failure medical research study is designed to analyze clinical variables through biomarker research to develop new treatments and therapeutic agents, while studying their individual affects on heart failure patients.
What is Heart Failure?
Heart Failure (HF) is a chronic condition which is a direct result of the heart not having the ability to pump enough oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the cells in the body. The heart will try to compensate for this deficit by enlarging, developing a denser muscle mass, pumping faster, narrowing blood vessels, or diverting blood away from less vital organs. While the heart's attempt at fixing this problem is commendable, this can cause a variety of other issues that can further negatively impact the heart's health and that of other organs, potentially causing a fatality.

Pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and coronary artery disease could lead to heart failure. Individuals who are obese, 65 years of age or older, and who have a history of a heart attack are at a higher risk.

You may be eligible to take part in the study if you are:
-
at least 18 years of age
-
diagnosed with Heart Failure
*Other key requirements will be discussed in detail by phone

You may be compensated for time and travel and paid $50 for each completed study visit.
