Overview of Pneumococcal Research Study
Our Pneumococcal Research Study is a 16-month, investigational vaccine research program contributing to the advancement efforts for preventing infections associated with streptococcus pneumoniae, known as the leading cause of pneumonia. The purpose of this study is to help the body to fight infections and prevent disease. This is a phase 3, double-blind study for healthy infants starting at 2 months of age.
What is Streptococcus Pneumoniae?
Streptococcus Pneumoniae is a germ responsible for a series of infections including pneumonia, meningitis, bacteremia (bacteria in the blood), and otitis (ear infections).

This germ can be particularly dangerous in infants.

Your baby may be eligible to take part in the study, if they meet the following requirements:

a healthy infant
-
male or female infants born at greater than or equal to 34 weeks / 6 - 14 weeks at time of consent
-
parental compliance with scheduled visits and treatment plan

availability for duration of study
