Overview of Ulcerative Colitis Research Study

Our current Ulcerative Colitis medical research study is a 12-week outpatient study, with 6 required clinic visits. The study assesses the efficacy and safety of an intravenous therapy used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.

What is Ulcerative Colitis?

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers (sores) in your digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis affects the innermost lining of your large intestine (colon) and rectum. Symptoms usually develop over time, rather than suddenly.
 

Ulcerative colitis can be debilitating and can sometimes lead to life-threatening complications. While it has no known cure, treatment can greatly reduce signs and symptoms of the disease and even bring about long-term remission.

You may be eligible to take part in the study if you:

  • are 18-80 years of age

  • have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and have failed conventional and/or

biologic therapy

You may be compensated for time and travel, up to $150 for screening visit, $150 Endoscopy Visit, & $50 for each completed study visit. Caregivers are also compensated for their time and travel.
